Physical therapist/physiotherapist experiences in Japan?
My boyfriend has a herniated disk and has been really struggling with the pain and emotional stress. The regular doctor just sent him home with some pain medication, but it's not really doing it. Have you had any experiences with PT's or physiotherapists in Japan? Was it a good experience? Any recommendations for this condition?

PT is not really common in Japan. When I was dealing with back pain it was hard to find a place that offers it. I went a few times but didn't see any improvement. All they did was some kind of really soft massage. Not sure how that compares to what they do in other countries as this was my first time but I later started going to a placed that offer massage and acupuncture, where they would a much stronger massage which turned out to be helpful. In general, I would recommend doing regular stretching on top of any therapy that he receives.0
My husband has been to Tokyo Physio but only for sports massage, not strict physiotherapy. Not much help if you are still in Gifu, I don't know what options they have out there, unfortunately!0
