I'm still dreaming of this pizza
My husband had visited here a while ago when he was in Tokyo, and absolutely raved about it. He's not usually a huge pizza fan either (he opts for other cuisines first), so it was pretty big praise. Me, however? I have a half Italian background and I could eat pizza happily for every meal, so I wasn't sure if his high praise would seriously stack up. Recently had the chance to head back here, and I'm happy to say that my skepticism was unfounded and it was amazing. Wood fired oven pizza perfection - just the right amount of crispy to chewy for the crust, and the simplicity but high quality of the toppings is just what a pizza should be, in my opinion. Absolutely worth the visit if you're in the Roppongi area of Tokyo - I'll be back, for sure.
Tokyo's best pizza? A real contender
From start to finish, the food at this intimate restaurant is fantastic. There a variety of hot and cold appetizers to start your meal, with the option of ordering a sample platter. I recommend this if you want to get a taste of several different things. Of course, they are most known for their pizzas. The restaurant uses unique ingredients, such as 24-month aged prosciutto, home-made nduja (spicy sausage), farm-direct vegetables, and a number of Okinawan-sourced fruits and vegetables. The desserts themselves deserve special mention. The menu offers traditional Italian desserts such as affogato, tiramisu, and panna cotta. Everything is made in-house and often with special ingredients. The tiramisu is some of the best I've tried and the panna cotta was topped with a passion fruit syrup.
