    Japan's largest lavender field

Sennen no Sono is most commonly known as Ranzan lavender field. Until last year it was the second largest lavender field in Japan, but after planting additional lavender this year it has become the largest in all of Japan. The lavender are currently in bloom. During the bloom period there is a Lavender Festival. There is a small car park at the fields, but during the festival period it is used for the festival. The official parking is at B&G Ocean building about a ten minute walk away. There is also parking at Ranzan Valley Barbecue site, but that costs 1000 yen for the day. During the festival period you have to pay to enter the lavender fields. It costs 500 yen for an adult. By public transport the fields are a 40 minute walk from Ranzan Musashi station on the Tobu Tojo Line.
